ngl: alt text is often hard for me, with carpal tunnel syndrome and a few brain problems where i become exhausted easily by Small Extra Tasks. and i've said it before but i haven't appreciated the way i've seen people act as if it isn't work and couldn't possibly be difficult

i've wondered for a long time how useful those more loquacious image descriptions i've seen really are to people trying to scroll their timelines. and reading this it kinda clicked for me that it's a literal translation vs. localization sort of thing, i think, and it'll never be perfect anyway
