In my last role there was a policy put in before I joined that we shouldn't request proper credit in games we worked on (IE as QA, producer, whatever) and the only person who had to be credited was the owner. The rest of us were just listed without context.

Idea was that they didn't want to force devs to credit employees because it was "all about the developer", which, ok, but it was frustrating, especially when arguing for credits for solo freelancers as well as companies (IE loc, porting). Luckily a lot of devs still opted to credit people anyway.
