Story time! I’m going to tell you about one of the funniest, most ridiculous moments of my journey as a parent. My two daughters were 7 and 5 years old at the time, and I was telling the kids stories at bedtime. (1/12)
Ok, having held my nose and written a single self-promo post, now I'm going to do others-promo: I'm currently reading Saint Death's Daughter by C.S.E. Cooney, and my gods it's glorious. Cooney writes prose that will make you sigh and lament, "If only I could write sentences like those."
If you're looking for an ensemble cast of lovable heroes in way over their heads, peeling back onion-layers of evil plots in a (finished) epic fantasy series full of adventure, humor and magic, I have you covered! The Heroes of Spira starts with The Ventifact Colossus. www.amazon.com/dp/B077LBHV92
I've been remiss in posting pictures of Whitby, a.k.a. "Pizza Box Cat." For over six years now, she's enjoyed sitting/lying/standing on a specific pizza box that we cannot throw away. Here she is on her 10th birthday, which was also the 2,375th day since she first sat upon her beloved box.
Greetings, new followers! While I *have* written an epic fantasy series, mostly I'd rather talk about other SFF books -- like Adrian Tchaikovsky's City of Last Chances which I finished recently. (While this technically isn't an Adrian Tchaikovsky stan account, I wouldn't blame you for thinking it!)
Just created a starter pack for writers who want to find out other SFF authors who are in Bluesky and engange with the community. This is far from complete and I intend to make other packs! go.bsky.app/RYcLDpc
