If this deal indeed exists, and if Israel does not take it, then I don't possibly see how anyone can morally defend that stance.

Bibi is simply malign, but a small part of me hopes that war in S. Lebanon provides him cover to finally allow peace in Gaza. The former is bad, of course, but A. the scale is vastly different, and B. much of Lebanon is happy to see Hez knocked out.
