My boggle here is that things were improving until 2010 and then got significantly worse. In 2012 US cars and trucks/SUVs sold at the same rate. In Europe, cars have been increasing in size for 20 years without an equivalent sharp reverse in ped deaths. So why was 2010 and every year after special?
