For folks who don’t know: Zotero has a great function now where you can highlight/annotate pdfs, then right click the pdf in the Zotero window and choose “extract annotations” and it will create a separate note with your highlights and comments. Really useful for making paper summaries. #AcademicSky
It makes it much easier when browsing again to check what you pulled from a paper, quick access to key quotes etc. Used to have be done through a linked app and manually attached, so it’s ace it’s now all within Zotero itself. And no “AI” summarising involved…
Do you know if it’s still possible to do this externally on a pdf and then import the annotated pdf into zotero to then extract the annotations? (I have an e-ink reader and prefer to highlight on there)
