I did my phd there and many of the ‘liberal’ folks are doing it to be performative in public. In reality, they are classist, racist, xenophobic, etc. Not everyone, there are good people in A2, but this event isn’t that surprising to me.

I went to grad school there and it sadly isn’t to me either. As in most places, there is always the sense of “it can’t happen here” but of course it can and does.
