decolonization is not marginalized folx becoming the oppressor.
mildly frustrated with folx saying this radicalized the world because a lottttt of us have been naming and working against many forms of colonialism for a while now. always happy to have more folx in the fight, just don't say we're all starting from scratch here.
Grandma Myrtle was laid to rest today. I'm grateful I was able to honor her by cutting my hair. Many Native Nations cut our hair when grieving. Even though I didn't have much to start with, it was still important to me to uphold our traditional ways. Culture is the best medicine.
land back as in fuck your respectability politics. land back as in saying free Palestine with your chest. land back as in this nonstop neoliberal nonsense isn't it. land back as in Sovereignty and Liberation in our lifetime. nothing less.
corrected a keynote speaker for referring to the war as the "middle eastern conflict" instead of saying the words Palestine and genocide & boy is this conference off to a great start.
when in the process of uplifting and amplifying marginalized voices do y'all actually start listening to us?
colonizers are not entitled to stolen land.
I don't want to be an "Indigenous voice". why don't yall start identifying as a "white voice" so we can limit the overwhelming whiteness in spaces rather than sprinkling in marginalized folx like we're decor.
