If you just look past his Nazi apologia, fetishism of Nazi weaponry, and entrenched sexism he's probably such a nice dude. Who among us has not ranted about testosterone levels while obsessing over Nazi war medals? Next you'll tell me that dressing up like a Confederate is in poor taste. /s

Always pay attention to how things are framed in Old Hollywood history books. For example, multiple books paint Mildred Harris as an immature spendthrift and bad wife to Charlie Chaplin. Yeah, that’s why adults shouldn’t marry 16 year olds. A teenage girl likes to shop. Horrifying.

That got me the first time as well! I'd just been playing Successors where the combat units do automatically change control, and just assumed it worked the same.

Sure! I've only played two games, so I'm still messing about - I played a lot of We the People as a teenager but very little WW. I'm DrCrossbows on RtT

Such a good game, and a great implementation

I definitely get how it can be annoying to see nerds being pedantic about the thing you made or the section of the industry you're in more generally, but nerds are going to be pedantic about the thing they know about in any situation. [insert screencap of Roel talking about ditches in warfare]

Yes, you may receive periodic requests from me to double check something - but at least I'm on this side of the world so they'll (probably) be at a reasonable time!

Thanks! I'm very keen to try them. I'm hoping to start learning OCS Korea soon. I have a friend lined up to learn it with, so together hopefully we can get playing before the year's end.

Thanks! I don't think there's much of a wargame scene here, but I'll probably take advantage of my geographic proximity to explore more of Japan's games if I can.

I just got a shipping notice for what I believe is this book and a copy of your book. Looking forward to both!
