Back to a semi-regular routine today. So glad to see my geese friends twice, including their toddlers! Not nearly as bad as I feared, even with the start of intervention recruitment 😱 Gotta take a longer break next winter, though - need more rest before a busy spring ❤️🩹 #AcademicSky

Had a truly wonderful visit with family this week ❤️🩹 Got to celebrate Christmas on 12/26, spend quality time with my nephew & a friend from high school, & get a little dressy for family dinner out. Sad to leave but lovely to be back with my Linus baby & my geese friends. Back to the grind too soon ☹️🤓

Last work day before break was pretty great! No geese friends, but lovely, bracing walk; finished 1st full draft of new MS (languishing for 2 years); grant + MS discussion w/best collabofriend; festive pampering; dinner out + FREE dessert! Recovery ❤️🩹 has been tough & life is busier than ever, in a good way. But I am tired & ready for a break! Glad I did some work before enjoying a an unseasonably warm Saturday with my neighborhood geese friends. Plus I finished Christmas prep & watched a few🎄movies. Crashing before another busy week.
Great day. In addition to visiting with my neighborhood geese at their favorite pond (2x!), my 1st echocardiogram since ❤️🩹 surgery showed a well-functioning ticker AND I’m in INR range 2 weeks in a row - 1st time! And got some work done. But today was about positives for my health. Campus tomorrow! 🎄
Took the weekend (mostly) off, returned for a very good day ❤️🩹 Lots of planning (including with @lauramkoenig.bsky.social#acwri to wrap up. Plus holiday decorating🎄🤶🏻and my Canadian geese friends loving the neighborhood pond today. Grateful!
