Camera trap photo of a Tasmanian bettong using their prehensile tail to gather up nesting material! Bettongs build nests of dry grass & bark to hunker down in during the day
Back in March I captured this one doing likewise - it'd had picked up dead bracken I'd recently pulled out. As it was back on camera with an empty tail within 5 mins, I'm assuming it nested not too far away!
