Seymour's position on the Treaty is both legally & historically illiterate & the extent to which Luxon has indulged it is hugely embarrassing to him and hugely dangerous for the country. I think it's very likely this will be shut down at 2nd reading but a lot of damage will already have been done.

The thing is Seymour knows all this He is not stupid nor ignorant So he is doing this for other reasons Disrupt our democracy Distract from NRA style gun laws Distract from privatising education and health systems It *IS* important that this is stopped but the other things are important too

How much time & money would go into getting a bill through to the second reading? I would expect the TPU to be complaining about that if the same trick was pulled by a Labour led government.
