Awesome!!!!! My advice as an ex-walk-on rower: rowing is wonderful, does great things for the athlete as a person, and is maybe the worst spectator sport that exists. So get stoked for your daughter and make peace with a sub-optimal sports watching experience.

My experience is that veg oil was very slightly less yummy than butter and saved a few minutes + 1 bowl to wash. I was making these in my role as short order cook to small humans, so I put a high priority on speed and ease.
