this Tim Kreider comic was published 20 years ago and i've thought of it continually since it came out
I've wondered before where that look on the left comes from. My theory is it's the dissonance between the conservative donor policy they must do and the liberal voter messaging they have to say. 95% of the time they can compartmentalize these things; "The Expression" comes out when they can't.
Why did you remove this I wonder (or is bsky having technical problems again)
Every one of his comics from then are 100% evergreen without exception "Dad did you really have animal slaves" "They were called 'pets' and they ate better than we did" "OH GOD YOU CAN'T SAY THAT"
That guy on the right is a real guy in California and still in Congress, but might actually lose his seat this year
