I have the same experience: 6 postdoc years abroad then back in France (home country) for 2.5 more postdoc years, and the ones that are recruited just spent 4-5 years here (as in, locally). Kuddos for them, but it's very frustrating.

Yes. And that's not only France. The whole world is like that, if you ask me.
