The Canary islands are weird. There's also entire Dutch enclave-catering pubs where you can get Dutch croquette sandwiches and Amstel beer etc.
In the '90s I went & my hotel was in an English enclosure with John Smiths smooth, egg & chips in every John Bull pub. I slipped through an alley to the German enclosure where Pils, pork & sausages were all the thing.
