Count me also as unimpressed with the moral and philosophical incoherence of people who insist on asking “does calling Amy Wax a bigot chill speech” but steadfastly refuse to acknowledge the question “does a professor saying black and Asian people don’t belong here chill speech.”

I definitely interpret 'find a staffer in our understaffed store to unlock the case with this item' as 'this establishment prefers that you purchase this item from Amazon'.

Melodramatic black eye looks to be the worst of it.

That's some quality cat snoring.

I'm kind of impressed with my glasses, because that's the part of my face that smashed into the floor, and they're not even scratched (though they did cut my left eyebrow).

Thank you for that review! My housemate and I watch a lot of movies together, and I'd suggested HIS THREE DAUGHTERS because of your review (and the cast). It made for an excellent roomie movie night last night.

There's something pathological about the eagerness to replace creative people with "AI". To put a huge group of financially precarious people out of work. To drive a sizable portion of our society deeper into poverty for a technology that creates barely satisfactory results at absolute best.

I'd also changed the spelling of my middle name (Shawn to Sian), and shortened the first name I never used to L, at a time when common-law name changes were legal in MA. The name I've used for the last 34 years is on my passport and Real ID. The Republican proposal says 'not good enough'.

I discovered in my mid-30s that the name I was using my entire life isn't the name on my birth certificate (which is why it was so hard for me to get it from my birth state, until someone there asked for my mother's maiden name. Which turns out to be my birth surname). No paperwork for that change.
