X losing 30% of its UK users in a year (and 20% in the US) is clearly bad for its financial viability, but it has also accelerated the downward spiral of the platform into increasingly extreme content. Via @jburnmurdoch.bsky.social@jemima.bsky.social@financialtimes.comwww.ft.com/content/6596...
It’s a shame so many local governments still use Twitter as a key part of their comms
Which is winning the race to the bottom, X or Truth Social? 😉
Even if Elon Musk wasn't a total plank, the volume of adverts and spam was driving me away anyway.
Xcrement is a sewer…..
elon bought Twitter to *sink* it. $44 billion really means nothing to him - it hasn't made him poor, and he's had a platform upon which he can mess with people and spread misinformation.
The good ship X/Twitter has run aground & is breaking up.....Man the lifeboats & head for the land of 🔵BlueSky....
What are people in the UK doing to get government agencies to start posting and engaging on Blue Sky?
Amongst the many awful things wrong with X, the AI slop is making it dull. AI generated bait posts full of AI responses all after the monetisation. The For You tab starts off decently targeted but slowly devolves to junk as the algorithm tries to tempt you with highly liked posts.
also think there's a lot of us who have emptied and locked their accounts, but not deleted them bc impersonation risk
