Beetle Sunday is upon us. The Rose Chafers (Cetonia aurata) are doing well. Two eclosed this week and now I have 3 males. I have three more pupal cells and hopefully some will be female. #BeetleSunday#CetoniaAurata

The Sun Beetles (Pachnoda marginata peregrina) are starting to emerge. Did you know that as they metamorphose, they shed their larval body including the head leaving it like a mask. Fascinating stuff. #BeetleSunday#PachnodaMarginataPeregrina
