🚨Last week was 1.9C hotter than pre-industrial temperatures, the biggest anomaly ever recorded www.carbonbrief.org/debriefed-29...
It feels like a tipping point, much earlier than we expected. I'm mourning for the future.
Like the brilliant dude on tiktok says, look to the soil as well as the sky on global warming.
“On the first day, Carbon Brief launched an in-depth explainer on whether carbon offsets can help to tackle climate change” Spoiler: lmao no
100,000 years ago, an old Neanderthaler warmed his cave in September up to 25°C. That's totally normal. Don't look up! ;-)
That’s.. Horrifying and unacceptable.. That explains why temperatures were in the 80s here in Ohio this past weekend..
Is that good?
I'm in SW france. It was 32c this afternoon. This is very unusual for October. It's cool overnight, which is helping. 42c for an extended period in August with 28c+ overnight was horrible.
