Students in my (undergrad only) lab turn in a writing assignment each semester. Usually an annotated bibliography or part of their capstone One is an aspiring science writer. She just turned in a poetry collection inspired by the lab. It is astounding What a gift to get to work w/these students!
Yes, that last part! The way I had to fight to get moving costs and a higher salary covered when I had funding to cover all of it, smh.
