Check out our project video on how we use gut microbes to make products out of broccoli that can improve our health. The nutrition/biochemistry is led by the Li and Zhang Labs at SUNY Binghamton, and the microbiology is led by the Ishaq Lab at UMaine. Narrated by Miriam Talalay. youtu.be/_6BMkvjO-hA
This is the story of a how a team of researchers is using gut microbes to make products out of broccoli that can improve our health. The nutrition and biochemistry parts are led by the Li and Zhang Labs at SUNY Binghamton, and the microbial parts are being led by the Ishaq Lab at the University of Maine. Collectively, we are researching how our gut microbes can be used to make things out of inactive parts of our diet which can then be used to help us. Narrated by Miriam Talalay.
