Trend chart from 2010 until 2024 comparing inflation in the USA, UK, Eurozone and Japan. In 2021 inflation starts to sky rocket as a result of the post-covid surge in spending. The USA line rises ahead of the UK and Eurozone, but in 2022 it peaks around 9% whilst the UK and Eurozone peak later at about 11%. The USA trend line drops ahead of that of its peers. Japan's trendline remains below all others and starts to rise later. The peak is hit around 2023 at around 4%. Japan's monetary economy was deflationary until recently and therefore their inflation figures are lower than those of other comparable nations.
