How much capitalism is the right amount of capitalism, in general and in the case of futbol? Genuine question if impossible to answer practically. The seeds of demise of community, club football may be geographically set. In South America, one might argue it was late 80s, early 90s as Europe 1/2

Lay person: I think unilateral/asym have to balance as well as lift so less weight total (usually). So from strength perspective I’d incorporate traditional shit. BUT as my ass gets older and connective tissue creakier, I think not getting injured is/should be top priority! Depends on goals I think

What about (I’m starting w/ a “what about”😳) defiant pessimism? T/belief things are ultimately shit in t/world but I have an obligation to try to slow down the awful & inevitable? There’s a glimmer of agency & limited sense of optimism one can make minor differences. But a systems level pessimism

For example, we know that people use tobacco for many reasons that don’t have to do with denial of science (eg stress, advertisement, etc). Likewise for other diseases. And that’s before you get to tradeoffs as a legit issue. I guess it seems to simplistic? But again, I might be asking for too much😂

I think I’m asking too much of a Forbes piece but how is the author defining denial? It’s not clear what evidence is being presented so much as a hypothesis that ‘denial’ is a causal factor in our behaviour toward x.
