These tech revolutions always receive skepticism as well as optimism. Both parties always claim they saw the future, but they don't (you can't, especially not with such unpredictable stuff). I don't know about you, but tumblr doesn't seem to be a good alternative to twitter imo. Tumblr is more focused on creativity as it seems (I've never been on there but okay) whereas Twitter is (used to be) more "business/serious talk" and sometimes even formal.I don't know about you, but tumblr doesn't seem to be a good alternative to twitter imo. Recently had this happen with JOSM. Great piece of software, yet a bit old and uses some archaic ant+some other apache stuff+maven build system on CVS. I think macs, like iphones, are designed to reel as much people into the ecosystem, as a first of many Apple devices. Intuitively macs need to be as easy to get into as possible. Yeah that seems logical due to the nature of this platform. But I suspect some more "normal" twitter refugees might end up here.
