Simit is a Skyrnir—nomadic peoples famed as expert storytellers. When we were talking with Koch about Simit, the main inspiration for his clothing were the Sámi, semi-nomadic peoples of northwestern europe. 🧵2/10

The Skyrnir are described as wise and friend of the elves in Middamark, which made me think of a deep relationship with magic and symbology. Symbology became the axis around Simit's design. For this, I took inspiration from both futhark runes and icelandic stave sigils. 🧵3/10
