But it's a frame that's wider than wealth tho. Talks a lot about status etc. If he wanted to talk about rich people he could have just said "rich people", but went for broader term -- elite.

Not really imo. His point is pretty simple: too many potentially powerful people chasing too few positions of power. As a one line summary I think that's fine
