Restoring pollinator habitat to solar farms in the midwest USA, tripled insect abundance and increased bees abundance twentyfold. 🔌💡 iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1...

If looking at wildfire cases, there are still 100s in Santa Cruz Mountains with no drinking water, melted pipes, infrastructure, etc., from 2020 CZU wildfire. Big Basin Water Company utility is in receivership; might get sold to a water utility in Missouri (!!). www.mercurynews.com/2023/05/21/o...

Environmental incidents prove irresponsibility of ongoing addiction to plastics in critical infrastructure.

Restoring native vegetation at solar projects in Minnesota on marginal or retired farmland can double soil carbon, increase nitrogen and other micro / macro nutrients, and reduce plant water stress. ☀️🌱 agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1...

I just used what is reported in the legend, 370k acres. But I just redownloaded and filtered data for Nevada from EPA and roughly confirmed acreage, though didnt filter for sites larger than 10acres. The xls file is here. Not sure what is going on with the TNC map. www.epa.gov/re-powering/...
