NEVER make reading a battlefield with your kids. I love reading, especially now that I'm grown and can choose my books. Growing up, though, I was forced to try and read political literature above my reading level when I wanted to read about volcanoes and dinosaurs. The Dinotopia series was my jam!

My sister works at a library and makes Reading promotion with margilized Kids and teens school- classes.
i would also add as an important aspect, one that I am glad my parents encouraged, is to foster a sense of curiosity about the world. to never stop learning things, exploring.
