absolutely this. i was fearless in my youth yet ignorant about inaccessibility for disabled persons until i got old. i tend to apologize in advance to anyone for help ie. lifting my overhead bag even explaining that i have chronic, degenerative rotator cuff tears to strangers who don’t care.

This reminds me of the climate change political cartoon with the punchline “what if you are wrong and we create a better world for no reason?”
