Up it climbs, to the calf, so soft you can almost ignore it. Almost. But it's too steady, isn't it, has a rhythm to it. Slow, tentative the tickle. As little steps, curious feet testing new terrain.
Up, up they climb.
Don't bother slapping or swiping.
Nothing is there.
So soft the sensation, above the skin not quite on it.

On your thigh now.
Strange, isn't it, how you can't see what's scaling you. What's treating you as any old hill.
It's on your side now, skittering with all those soft feet around to your back.

Your neck is tender to its touch, but it desires something...thinner to tease. To taste. An earlobe perhaps, yes. That tickling rhythm slows and slows to approach carefully. To savor the prickling of your skin.
Its teeth breaks into your supple ear so it might drink and drink what spills.
You must stop, you can't slap it away.
Nothing is there.
After, after the screaming fades and you've finished slapping at nothing, it decides to bask in your quiet pulse and your soft warmth against its sharp chill.
By your left ear, yes, just there snug under a bite of blood and cartilage.
What a bite it is, you are. Such a delicious thing.
