There was a great nerd/geek schism that occurred around the rise of the alt-right that anyone into nerdy interests prior to it happening is likely aware of. I am surprised there's still no major book on this phenomenon. I can see a "What's the matter with the board game store..." long-form piece.

I definitely stopped considering myself a capital-G Gamer around 2012. Everybody reading this can probably guess why!
