Even when we had different contractors working on the space program in the 60s/70s this was a problem. (Compatibility, etc.)
Sigh. It was planned this way from the beginning BY NASA. Criticize Boeing to your heart’s content but damn this ain’t the thing man…
They could just put extra spacesuits on the rescue vehicle for them to change into.
Like... So? Bring enough space suits. I say this from a human perspective, not from a corporate "if they die and I make a penny that's cool" perspective, ofc.
They could have sent up suits with the recent cargo flight, they didn’t. Probably because SpaceX wanted paying to make them and neither NASA or Boeing would commit to writing the cheque
Hmm ... isn't that something they should have had on their schedule from the beginning?
The filter in the command module used to scrub CO2, did not fit in the lunar module in the Apollo mission.
Eh, I pretty much put this on Boeing and the folks in Congress who insisted NASA write them a contract even though SpaceX was the low bidder and consistently meeting every target they set. NASA trying to continue human spaceflight solely with legacy contractors would have us still grounded today.
Can't they make adapters out of some plastic bags and cardboard Apollo 13 stylee 😀
Yeah no one including me expected these exact issues. For fucks sake look at God damn iPhone chargers systemic issues can be applied to other systems. Capitalists can't see past their God damn noses if they smell money.
