Also I'm not a fan of TAB stuff. I call it Memento Disability and I think it backfires. Folks also know they will likely someday be old, but they don't treat elders better. Generally what happens is they project their disgust and fear toward their future selves onto elders.

Yeah, especially telling younger people that won't work. Even if there is an awareness of linear time like in late teens, it's still so "far away" that it feels dismissable- and that's often a developmental thing too It only really "works" on people who are close to that age

Hard agree. In my limited experience, people who care little for disabled people think elders bring their disabilities on by not taking care of themselves when they were younger. “That won’t be me.” They just assume they’ll be living it up until they abruptly have a heart attack in their sleep.
