It happens so often too, I remember GW2 I was told I needed ascended gear to do fractals. Where do people suggests I go to get ascended gear easily? Fractals. I never know what people like.. want out of this when it happens. :'3

You only need ascended gear to do fractals above a certain agony level, because if you don’t have the agony resistance you get from infusions (which only legendary/ascended gear can hold), just walking in to high agony fractals will cause your character to die. But elitism from players still sucks.

They are of the mindset that they "don't want any of their time wasted" because they've been through the content to get there, and expect that everyone else has also done all the grinding and content to get there. But often they don't remember what it was like getting TO that point.
