An old map of my park from the 1990s: I do not recognize the shape of the creek, parts of the main trail's route, or the bottoms of all the little side canyons flowing into the main wash. Compare this to an arial map from the 1970s, and it too is very different from both today and the 1990s.

Trash pickup day 1,538. This was a 60-minute pickup. My route did not produce today. This empty bucket isn't a sign of a lousy cleanup... it's a sign of a clean park! 😁 I wasn't really up for a hike, but I did it anyway.
