… it’s hard for us now to realize just how unlikely it seemed in the 1950s and 1960s that the Israeli (and American) haredi & chassidic communities would survive, let alone thrive and grow, in the next half-century. It’s one of the most incredible stories in my and my parents’ lifetimes.
