My brother once bought a tee-shirt that said “I Demand Justice Or, If There Must Be Injustice, Let It Be In My Favor.” And I immediately understood how that goes the wrong way pretty easily, and readily explains rightwing voters.

(And also liberal “lesser evil” voters. Hopefully it also explains why this is fatal to any politics that seeks real justice.)
