For those unware: There is no federal law giving farmworkers the right to collective bargaining. They were intentionally written out of American labor law, and many states didn't even have laws covering them under very recently; the laws created around Chavez' era were compromises to begin with.

As an alt text user I will say that the sort of text you get from image OCR (i.e. what this thread is suggesting) is often lower quality than copy-pasting the text in a screenshot. In particular, text in columns or grainy scans often doesn't parse correctly. So this sort of tech isn't a panacea

I can't find any evidence that Lens is 100% on device and doesn't transmit usage data back to Google, so privacy-conscious users may have it disabled (such as myself). It sucks when accessibility features come with that kind of tradeoff.
