Hello and welcome! My one tip is to immediately move on from any interaction that doesn’t either make you think or smile or put something into your day that’s good. Someone is nasty, or even just mildly annoying? Mute, unfollow, walk away. There are enough good others here.

Second this. If I even see someone being a dick to someone else, I just block them. It's much more casual/acceptable here than on Twitter to just ignore people who you don't want to deal with.
