I don’t understand why anyone would ever take such people seriously. They don’t make good points or have coherent arguments based on anything real! Isn’t that obvious for anyone who has met any real people?

I feel like I’ve known this since idk… going to school? And dealing with weirdo creeps there? How is this not obvious? And why not expand this treatment to other weirdo creeps like people on the right who hate the homeless / are racist / insert other stupid belief here? Am I missing something??

Just watched the original TWISTER for the first time. Somehow I had forgotten how mediocre some of the big budget American films of that era could be.

Anyway, pointing out that fascists are weird worked for France at the last election so I hope it works for the U.S. too

There’s a kind of “plausible deniability” to Trump’s way of speaking and being: you’re dumb if you take him seriously and dumb if you don’t. But it seems many of his people don’t have that, they function on one level only. Maybe that’s why he seems so bored, sincerity is less fun than constant BS

The problem also seems to be that this time, although Trump is surrounded by people who agree with & support him, they suck at being weird like he is weird. It’s clear he taps into some very primal macho stuff for many people. But many of his sycophants are *just* weird and don’t have his “charisma”

AI folks have now discovered “thinking”

Steph Smith: Sometimes in the process of writing a good enough prompt for ChatGPT, I end up solving my own problem, without even needing to submit it.
