Even if Louis is a horrific person, anyone would throw yourself at someone who treated you with basic decency if you knew nothing but people being absolute assholes to you just because of your genetics and background. Louis himself probably knows that too.
Strohl and Hulkenberg are good people but they're both from privileged races and from noble backgrounds. So I don't think they fully understand why people like Zorba would want to willingly throw themselves at someone like Louis.
I do hope there will be fresher perspectives once we get the other party members. Hulk and Strohl mean well but lbr they don't know a darn thing about what it's like being oppressed. The only one who's fully acknowledged MC's hardships so far has been Gallica.
Oof they're doing that writing thing where they try to say the oppressed people are Bad because they lashed out against oppression. Thankfully Zorba is portrayed as sympathetic and there's acknowledgement that he got wronged.
