I think this true, and I think there are probably a lot of people on the outside who think "conservative", "trad", "Opus Dei", "SSPX" etc all mean the same thing.

Where are you finding that Vance is Opus Dei? I can't surface it in the search results.
I'm pretty skeptical. I'm having a great deal of trouble finding a source for "JD Vance is Opus Dei" and I regularly see claims like that about Opus Dei that don't check out.
