Design your artwork to be viewed at a small size/long distance, don't stress the super tiny zoomed in details like every leaf on a tree, go for suggestion, not telling! Also: There's no one right way to do a style, tutorials aren't necessarily the ONLY way to do something, find what works for you!
the first was a wonderful tip from my trad art teacher in highschool that changed the way I do backgrounds digitally after explaining paintings are meant to be viewed from 3-4 feet away! It makes less work for you! Second is what I learned this past year trying to learn how to do digital painting!
