Toen Adorno Massa & Macht las hoefde de opbouw van dat boek hem niet direct te bevreemden. Maar waar Adorno strikt was, was Canetti intuïtiever. Later kwam Deleuze en Guattari met structuur van rhizoom (wortelstok) in Mille Plateaux. Adorno en Canetti hadden briefcontact maar Canetti hield afstand.
