I think the most anti patriarchy and anti cis normative way of thinking is “I don’t give a f what you do with your life, who you sleep with, how you want to be called, dress, behave, what erotic fantasies you read and write about, as long as you’re not harming and forcing anyone into it”

One year anniversary of genocide in Gaza. Generally speaking, I love history. But watching the most fucked up parts of it repeat is the greatest cause for despair I see in the modern world. As an author & individual, part of my mind will always be occupied with how to end cycles of violence.

There's something special about re-watching LOTR, Gandalf and Frodo riding through Hobitton, and thinking, 'I've been those places.' And with two notable fantasy authors proving terrible disappointments in recent years, its wonderful to still have Lord of the Rings as an indisputed love.
