I've gone down the rabbit hole looking at these and I think the wheel could probably take other tires, but you're absolutely right about lining up the rim to the tire in order to get that hubcap on.

I agree. Other tires with those rims looks fine but likely shouldn’t put the hubcaps on with other tires. And from what I can see of the clips on the back of the stock hubcaps, no guarantee those can go on at more than one angle. Oh crap, need to line up the valve stem too! Yeah, huge headache.
