You can process in silence. In an actual diary. In a group chat with people who know and get you. There is no way for strangers to enforce a change in your heart about art that moves you. For better or worse. But you don't have to throw your unmovedness in the faces of people who are hurt.

I am not affected by The Latest Bad beyond having to remove someone from a feed I moderate. I never connected with this particular artist. That does not permit me to invalidate the feelings of people who are processing. I don't have to act like they're crazy or as if I'm being forced to react.
