Luckily, a lot of people in Montreal speak English! So you don't REALLY need french! Cool that you have family here tho! You interested in learning French or nah? I honestly don't really recommend learning a language you won't use at least every now and then because you'll end up forgetting it 😭

I tried. But growing up in BC, really didn’t need it. And German was easier to learn in HS. So did that in order to graduate. French is heavily used up here in the NWT though!! Lots of people from the East Coast come here for contract work.
