In some situations, as many of us are! The one time I saw her in person was actually at a really crowded literary event in Dunedin/Ōtepoti, where she was having a whale of a time, laughing and chatting and watching on with family and friends.

I remember her at the Chch Arts festival mid-80's. She was terrified of going on (I was close to the organisers at the time). We didn't know if she was actually going to do it until she did. She was flustered & nervous: asked if she wanted water on stage said she'd have a shower at hotel later.
